ABOUT MAX

Max DeFalco is an independent writer/director/editor from Long Island, New York, and has written and directed multiple narrative short films. Inspired by the characters, chaos, awkward situations, and unpredictability he stumbles upon in everyday life, Max strives to tell stories that, in their own strange way, come full circle.

Max's live-action/animated short film, "A Thousand Cars at Night Looks Like a Moving Train," premiered at the Academy Award-qualifying Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival 2022. His short film, "The Consequences of Taking Without Asking," won the Audience Award at the 2023 Orange Film Festival and is currently featured on NoBudge. Max is on the festival circuit with his latest film, "Anything Helps," which was an official selection at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival and recently featured at the Manhattan Film Expo at Cinema Village in NYC. Max is currently in post-production with his upcoming short film, "Follow Me Wherever I Go."
